The fresh petition filed by Akshay Thakur claimed that the earlier petition was incomplete. Lawyer of the convict AP Singh said that Akshay filed the plea on February 25 which reached the President Secretariat on Saturday.
The President had on Saturday (February 1, 2020) rejected the mercy petition filed by Sharma.
