Instagram Teen Accounts Feature: The expansion of new feature to Facebook and Messenger began on April 8 in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, with global rollout planned soon.

The Meta AI chatbot has rolled out in more than 12 countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Users in the EU, European Economic Area, and Switzerland will soon be able to unlink their Instagram, Messenger and Facebook accounts.

There are two ways Messenger users can opt in to the secure chats. The encrypted chats also now support verified badges so that people can identify authentic accounts. All the new features will be rolled out to Messenger in the coming weeks.

Instagram took action against over 3.2 million pieces across 12 categories. Meta said 519 user reports were received by Facebook through its Indian grievance mechanism between November 1-30. Apps under Meta include Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Oculus.

It can only be created through the social media platform and the Messenger app as well. With the help of the smartphone’s camera, one can create a Facebook avatar and it will show different options of skin tones to choose from. Also, the Holi-themed stickers are available.

Vanish Mode is available for Messenger in US. Some users may have already received Vanish Mode in chat settings. Facebook said the mode will be opt-in only.

Facebook recently introduced new privacy features like App Lock in Messenger. It will help users prevent others from accessing their private messages. App Lock adds another layer of security to private messages.

The move comes after there has been a surge in spread of misinformation around the Covid-19 pandemic. This limit kicks in once a message has been previously forwarded five times or more. The Messenger forward limit is similar to that of WhatsApp.

In another step to integrate its family of apps that are being used by 3.14 billion users globally, Facebook has also integrated Messenger rooms with WhatsApp on the Web.  

The users can turn group video calls in Messenger Room into a Facebook Live broadcast with up to 50 people. As a room creator, you can broadcast your room to a Profile, Page or Group, and invite people to tune in. Between WhatsApp and Messenger, more than 700 million accounts participate in calls every day.

Facebook Dark Mode interface will not be completely black like on Instagram and Messenger but a grayscale design with white accents for logos and icons.

The Corona helpdesk chatbot will also suggest the dos and Donts to prevent the further spread of deadly coronavirus.

Some users reportedly said that they were able to see parts of each app, while others said that the services appeared to be working as normal. 

Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said earlier this year the company is planning to unify the messaging infrastructure across its platforms. He said the company would encrypt conversations on more of its messaging services and make them compatible as direct messaging was likely to dwarf discussion on the traditional, open platform of Facebook`s news feed in a few years.
