Meta has begun its two-day Connect 2023 conference at Menlo Park, California, USA on September 27. In the keynote address, CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled a bunch of new VR and AI products including third-generation Quest 3, first-gen smart glasses, and some new AI chatbots, which will be rolled out in coming days. 

Meta Connect 2023: CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced a range of new products in the company's portfolio, including the first-generation Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses and the third-generation VR headset, Meta Quest 3. Additionally, some new AI features, which will be rolled out in the coming months, were introduced alongside a personal AI assistant, Meta AI.

Succeeding the previous models ‘Quest 2’ and ‘Quest’, the latest VR model aims to rise above them with the first-of -its kind Snapdragon XR 2 Gen2, next-gen pancake optical lens and immersive and blended experience. 

According to the company, the fund seeks to nurture innovation and build an ecosystem of XR technologies in the country. 

Due to the app's apparent lack of official availability, some users have already attempted to force the installation of WhatsApp on a virtual reality device.

Priced starting at $499, the device will be 40 percent thinner than the company's previous headset and feature color mixed reality.

The 128GB headset starts at $499.99 and users will also get an additional storage option for extra space, the company said in a blogpost on Thursday.
