The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) introduced the QR code-based paper ticket system on May 8, and will gradually phase out physical tokens.

With this new DMRC TRAVEL app, passengers can now purchase tickets directly from their mobiles, eliminating the need to go to ticket counters/vending machines or stand in queues.
