Microsoft is still in strong financial shape and reported a 25.8 billion dollars net income for the quarter ending in April and beating analyst expectations.
According to the memo, no games, devices, or experiences are being cancelled and no studios will be shut down as part of these adjustments.
These layoffs came shortly after Microsoft's fiscal year 2024 ended on June 30.
Take-Two Interactive also disclosed plans to shut down two subsidiary studios as part of its restructuring.
