Microsoft-LinkedIn deal News
Cloud computing company Salesforce is reportedly trying to block the $26.2 billion Microsoft-LinkedIn deal, arguing that Microsoft`s acquisition of the enterprise social network LinkedIn will be anti-competitive.
The USD 26.2-billion deal, which is the largest in the history of the Redmond-based firm, will help "reinvent productivity and business processes", Nadella said in an e-mail to employees.
In one of the biggest deal in the technology world, Microsoft Corporation on Monday announced that it would acquire professional social networking site LinkedIn at $196 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $26.2 billion.
LinkedIn will, however, retain its distinct brand, culture and independence while Jeff Weiner will remain CEO of LinkedIn, reporting to Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft.
