Experts believe that India must make AI education an integral part of the curriculum and use it as a base for learning. 

The government has issued a notice to Twitter to comply with all its past orders by July 4. Twitter has been at loggerheads with the government on several occasions.

The draft policy proposes the launch of a non-personal data based India datasets program. The policy addresses the methods.

The investigation will determine the veracity of the content and not Twitter, it has asserted while asking the microblogging platform not to interfere in the investigation process. In its communication to Twitter, the ministry has stated that a complaint has already been made by one of the concerned parties before the local law enforcement agency questioning the veracity of the toolkit and the same is under investigation. Twitter has unilaterally drawn a conclusion in this matter and arbitrarily tagged it as 'manipulated media', government sources said.

WhatsApp had faced severe backlash over user concerns that data was being shared with parent company Facebook. She was responding to concerns raised by a Jharkhand government official on people in rural areas being pushed to accept WhatsApp's new privacy rules even though they are not aware of its impact on them. Arora during the event said the pandemic has pushed the usage of digital services across the country and there is a need to have robust cybersecurity infrastructure.

The Centre on Thursday asked states to promote digital payments, specially in rural areas, and review safety measures to prevent leak of personal data like Aadhaar and bank details of people.

Mobile handset makers may get some relief as the government is expected to ease bank guarantee norms for import of components at concessional duty rates for local manufacturing.
