The students of JNU have criticised the Delhi Police over the delay in tracing Najeeb, who has been missing from the campus after allegedly being beaten up by a mob of 20 students comprising mostly the ABVP members.

"Protest at the admin block has been a tradition of this university. We never saw such suppression of dissenting voices in the university." Mohit Pandey said in his reply to Pramod Kumar, Registrar of the University.

A student named Najeeb Ahmed had gone missing on the night of October 14 from the university after a brawl with a few ABVP students.
