Juventus said the transfer fee agreed for the Italy international was 27.5 million euros ($30.54 million), payable in three financial years, with a further 2.5 million euros to be added if certain conditions were met.

The 19-year-old, who suffered alleged racist abuse after scoring at Cagliari on Tuesday, came off the bench to score his fifth goal in his last five league appearances to move Juventus ever closer to an eighth successive Serie A title.

Meanwhile, European football`s anti-discrimination watchdog FARE described racism in football as the "Italian epidemic" and said there had been an alarming rise in incidents.

The 19-year-old continued an impressive run of form which has seen him score three goals in five Serie A appearances this season and in both of Italy`s Euro 2020 qualifiers this month, against Finland and Liechtenstein.

Italy`s first home win since they beat Israel in a World Cup qualifier in September 2017 gave them an ideal start as they attempt to put their failure to qualify for last year`s World Cup behind them.

Cagliari or Atalanta will face Juventus in the quarter-finals at the end of January, while Milan set up a clash with Napoli or Sassuolo and Lazio will take on Inter Milan.
