Mumbai Metro One that operates its services on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route had proposed the increase in fares.
Reliance Infrastructure-led Mumbai Metro One Monday said it will seek metro operational subsidy from the state government to keep the fares lower, even as the fare fixation committee has recommended its revision in the range of Rs 10 to Rs 110 for the over 11-km-long corridor.
The new rates for the 11.4 km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar corridor, the first phase of metro in Mumbai, are Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 30 and Rs 40.
