The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday barred authorities from arresting former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan till Wednesday in any new case filed after May 9.

The Supreme Court was hearing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan's plea against his arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial observed that the agency committed "contempt of court" by entering the court premises and arresting him without permission from the court's registrar.

Pakistan Army has issued a stern warning, saying no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.

Shehbaz Sharif was arrested by National Accountability Bureau on Friday for his alleged involvement in two corruption cases.
