Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed company law tribunal, NCLT, order allowing Centre to take over management of embattled realty firm Unitech Ltd.

SC was hearing Unitech's appeal challenging the recent order of the NCLT allowing the Centre to take over its management.

On December 8, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) suspended all the eight directors of Unitech over allegations of mismanagement and siphoning of funds, while authorising the government to appoint its 10 nominees on the board.
