Recently, news came that Shahid Kapoor will be seen working in Nikkhil Advani's film. According to the reports, talks are going on between Shahid and Nikkhil regarding the film, but in reality, this news turned out to be fake.

"Marjaavaan" collected Rs 7 crore on the day one of release and managed a first-weekend collection of Rs 17.39 crore.

The two are all set to share screen space in a yet-untitled feature which will be directed by Kaashvie Nair and produced by John Abraham along with Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani.

Nikkhil has often collaborated with John in the past. Apart from directed the actor in the recent "Batla House" and the 2007 film "Salaam-e-Ishq", he also produced John`s 2018 release, "Satyameva Jayate".

Nikhil further announced he was all set to start `Satyameva Jayate 2` with John Abraham in 2020.

Their choices clearly show both actor John Abraham and filmmaker Nikkhil Advani have a keen interest in being a part of stories that revolve around national interest and real-life events. The duo's latest collaboration "Batla House" has again started a conversation along those lines among the common people, and they firmly state their brand of patriotism is different from the ‘nationalist attitude.

After successfully experimenting with patriotism genres in his last few releases, John Abraham is all set to be back on the big screen this Independence Day with 'Batla House'. With less than 24 hours for the film to hit the screen, the actor has been on a promotional spree, travelling across the country, appealing the audience to come out in large numbers to watch the film in theatres.

With this question on mind, screenwriter and filmmaker Sanjay Gupta began working on encounter-based movies "Shootout At Lokhandwala" and "Shootout At Wadala" years ago. A third part in the "Shootout" series is in the pipeline, but before that he has a gangster drama which will again touch upon police encounters -- a genre that is one of the hottest trends in Bollywood right now.

Nikhil Advani reasons his shift in focus from fiction to reality is the reason why "over the past few years, the films I made are inspired by reality, a little away from a rom-com like ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho'." 

The John Abraham-starrer "Batla House" opens on Independence Day, and in the build-up to the film's release, a special screening of the film was organised for Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi on Saturday evening.

The film will be based on the real Batla House encounter that took place almost a decade ago on September 19, 2008, which is officially known as Operation Batla House. 

The festival will start on July 18 and travel to various cities like Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Ludhiana, Dehradun, Indore and Bhopal before it concludes in Mumbai on September 29.

Actress Kiara Advani has landed his first "in and as" film -- "Indoo Ki Jawani".

Sonam is currently involved in the filming of 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga', which also stars her father Anil Kapoor.
