A case of gang-rape has come to light after a girl was kidnapped in Ghaziabad. The accused kept the women hostage for two days and vandalized her and threw her in a sack.

A Nirbhaya-like case has came into light in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, the girl was gang-raped and tortured in Ghaziabad. The woman was found in a very serious condition, with an iron rod still inside her.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut expressed her thoughts after the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder convicts were hanged to death. 

The four convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case were hanged to death at 5:30 AM at Delhi`s Tihar jail. Senior lawyer Ujjwal Nikam explains what this justice meant for India.

The four convicts were closely monitored by the Tihar jail administration and orders had been issued to keep an eye out for the convicts trying to create some sort of drama or distraction and maybe even attempts to commit suicide. 

After the hanging of the four convicts, their bodies have been sent to the Deendayal Hospital for postmortem, which is written in the jail manual. The process of post mortem scheduled to start at around 8 am.

Nirbhaya's mother said that after the final order of the Supreme court to hang the convicts was approved she hugged the picture of her daughter and said ''you got justice”. But here, listen to a doctor whose report played a major role to get justice done.

Nearly seven years, three months and eight days after a young medical student was gang-raped, brutally tortured and left to die in a moving bus in Delhi, the four adult convicts - Mukesh Singh, Pawan Gupta, Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma - alive who took part in the heinous crime were hanged till death at 5.30 am on Friday in Delhi's Tihar Jail.

The Patiala House Court in Delhi today (March 05, 2020) ruled that the four Nirbhaya gang-rape murder case convicts will be hanged on March 20 at 5.30 am.

The Supreme Court is hearing a review plea filed by Akshay Kumar Singh, one of the four men convicted in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case, on December 18. It will pronounce its verdict on Singh’s review plea at 1 pm today. The hearing on Singh’s review plea was delayed by a day on December 17 after Chief Justice of India SA Bobde recused himself from hearing the review plea. CJI SA Bobde recused himself from the case because his nephew had represented Nirbhaya in a court earlier. The Apex Court on Monday rejected review petitions filed by three of the four convicts, saying it lacked grounds for a review.

The entire nation rose to witness the much-awaited moment of justice being meted out by the Supreme Court in Nirbhaya case. As soon as the verdict upholding the death sentence for all the four accused in December 16, 2012, gang-rape case came out, social media was stormed with several posts opining on the same.

The five men and a juvenile lured a Delhi student and her male friend onto a bus in New Delhi on December 16, 2012, before repeatedly raping the woman.

The Supreme Court's verdict in the December 16 gang-rape case will have the "best demonstrative effect" in containing crimes against women in Delhi which recorded a case of rape every four hours last year, the police administration believes.
