Abhishek Singh clinched a Super 10 (11 raid points) for U Mumba as they clawed back from being six points down in the final five minutes to secure a crucial draw.  

Nitin Tomar (8 points) and Manjeet (9 points) were among the top performers for the Anup Kumar coached Pune side, despite a record-setting defensive display by the Titans who produced 7 Super Tackles.

Tamil Thalaivas remain rooted at the bottom of Zone B table with 21 points from 10 games. UP Yoddha are second with 37 points from 14 games.

Tomar was ably supported by Rishank Devadiga who scored six raid points. Telugu Titans' dismal campaign continued as they crashed to their sixth defeat of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League Season 5. Rahul Chaudhari scored 12 points but his effort went in vain.

In the day's first match, Fortunegiants produced a clinical performance to beat the Delhi franchise 26-20. The Zone A match witnessed Gujarat's Fazel Atrachali leading the defensive chores against his more famous Iranian raider Meraj Sheykh, who was leading the Delhi team.

The inaugural match of the tournament would be held at the Gachibowli stadium between the Rahul Chaudhari-led Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas.

Pakistan is one of the 16 countries whose players are listed in the auction for this season but none of the franchises will bid for them.  

India had previously defeated Iran in the previous two World Cup finals, 55-27 at Mumbai In 2004 and 20-19 at Panvel in 2007.

The final against the Persian giants will be played on Saturday.

India have won the previous two World Cups, under the revamped standarised format, each time defeating Iran inn the finals.
