On Monday night, two shooters entered a Noida housing society, where about 2,000 families live, wandering around in search of someone they found in a car parking lot, and opened fire on two men. The shooters then managed to escape from the another gate of the society.
The family members of the deceased told police that Gaurav Chandel, who was a resident in Greater Noida West's Gaur City, was returning from his office and was on his way home. The family said that Chandel had informed them that he was close to Parthala Chowk and would be reaching home in 5 minutes. They added that when he didn't reach home even after half-an-hour and stopped taking their calls, they got worried.
The Noida-based firm also plans to launch next month a sports-centric housing project in Noida Extension (Greater Noida - West) where it would develop over 4,500 flats/villas at a cost of Rs 1,100 crore.
Property consultant JLL India has advised home buyers to avoid certain locations, including Noida Extension, in Delhi-NCR real estate market due to delays in projects delivery, oversupply, speculation and lack of infrastructure.
