Nupur Sharma, who is a former spokesperson of the BJP, sparked a massive controversy with her contentious statement on Islamic God Prophet Mohammad during a TV news debate.
Qasmi said, "Islam says Nupur Sharma should be forgiven. We disagree with the protest that started across the country after Friday prayers against Nupur Sharma and her derogatory remarks."

Mumbai Police has summoned suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma to record a statement on June 25.
This come after a case was filed by police against her on a complaint filed by Raza Academy.
