Nupur Sharma, who is a former spokesperson of the BJP, sparked a massive controversy with her contentious statement on Islamic God Prophet Mohammad during a TV news debate.

Qasmi said, "Islam says Nupur Sharma should be forgiven. We disagree with the protest that started across the country after Friday prayers against Nupur Sharma and her derogatory remarks."

Nupur Sharma Remark Live: Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari retorted that he would move the court if he is stopped from visiting parts of violence-hit Howrah district.

Mumbai Police has summoned suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma to record a statement on June 25. This come after a case was filed by police against her on a complaint filed by Raza Academy.

Several parts of the country witnessed massive protests against the controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad. This comes as the row over the comments on the Prophet by suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma has blown up, leading to global outrage.

According to officials, tension spread in the Bhaderwah area on Thursday evening after alleged inflammatory speeches were made during a protest against derogatory remarks made against Prophet Mohammad by now-suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

Former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma has been in the eye of the storm ever since she purportedly made controversial comments about Prophet Muhammed during a TV debate.
