Chandigarh administration abeyance its order of restricting unvaccinated children in the age group of 12 to 18 years from attending the classes in physical mode from May 4. That means,vaccination not mandatory for kids to attend offline classes in Chandigarh.
West Bengal will hold offline classes for classes 9 to 12
Classes 10, 12 will function on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
Classes 9 and 11 will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Staff and students residing in the containment zones shall not come to university and college.
Social distancing shall be adopted in classrooms, libraries, laboratories etc.
Crowded classes can be divided into batches and teaching hours in a day can be extended.
"All institutions under the Higher Education department shall start functioning from October 4," said Higher Education Department Joint Secretary Sajukumar.
Importance should be given to practical classes for the science subjects, the order said, adding that the classes for other semesters will continue online.
It is to be noted that schools in Haryana will be reopening after a gap of 1.5 years. Students, who are not willing to attend the physical classes, can attend offline classes, which will go on simultaneously.
The final examinations will be held as usual in the month of March.
