One Belt One Road initiative News
In a major blow to China, India has refused to extend support to Beijing's One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative.
At the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), India was the only country in the 8 member grouping which refused to support the project.
A Road Transport and Highways Ministry official said they "completely disassociate with any such special session. Neither the organisers reported about any such session nor we approved it."
Belt and Road project includes China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
China on Thursday said that BRI's goal is to promote connectivity between regional countries.
Nepal has already confirmed its participation in the OBOR conference.
"The US must take more seriously the strategic challenges posed by China's One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative," Ashley Tellis of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace told lawmakers.
