Eating cashews and almonds every day is known to be good for health. But since cashews usually cost around Rs 1,000 per kilogram, many people can't afford them. However, there's a place in India where cashews are sold for just Rs 50 per kilogram—just like vegetables!

Earlier 40% export duty was levied on onions but when the price of onions started falling and farmers started getting less price, then the government decided to reduce the export duty on onion from 40% to 20%.

With over 170 cities and 685 centers hosting dedicated onion sale stalls, this concerted effort aims to address the pressing issue of inflated onion prices across the country. 

Traders have expressed concerns that this price surge may persist in the months to come that will put increasing pressure on both households and restaurants.

The move comes as onion prices continue to escalate, currently ranging between Rs 65 and Rs 80 per kilogram in the retail market of the national capital, Delhi.
