The Army's morale is at an all-time low because of the poor treatment meted out to the family of a former soldier who killed himself, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday.

Army veteran Subedar Ram Kishan Grewal, who allegedly killed himself on Tuesday evening in frustration over central government's delay in implementing the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme, had called up his family members minutes before taking the extreme step.
)
The government came out with a notification on OROP on November 7 but the veterans still remain unsatisfied.
As per the notification issued on November 7, if someone has taken pre-mature retirement, the person will not be entitled for the benefit of OROP.
)
The agitators have also demanded that benefits of health care and canteen facilities should be extended to the families of both the serving and retired personnel.
