President Droupadi Murmu conferred 69 Padma Awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan, honoring legends like Sharda Sinha (posthumous), Arijit Singh, and R. Ashwin. The 2025 ceremony celebrated 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri recipients for their contributions to India.  

R Ashwin and PR Sreejesh got the prestigious Padma Awards from President Droupadi Murmu on Monday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.  

Sudha Murty was conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award The award ceremony was attended by her daughter Akshata and son Rohan UK PM Rishi Sunak called Murty's achievement a 'proud moment'

Sudha Murty's husband and Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy, son Rohan, and her sister Sunanda Kulkarni also attended the Padma Award ceremony in Delhi.

President Draupadi Murmu presented the Padma Awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. The President has awarded Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri to 55 citizens. SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav has been posthumously awarded the Padma Vibhushan. This honor was given to son Akhilesh Yadav.

Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri was overwhelmed with the recognition and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah after the awards.

Late Mulayam Singh Yadav conferred the Padma Vibhushan posthumously on Wednesday Author Sudha Murty and physicist Deepak Dhar were also among the recipients of the award

President Draupadi Murmu honored 106 celebrities with Padma Awards for the year 2023 at the Civil Investiture Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. Of these, 6 have been awarded Padma Vibhushan, 9 Padma Bhushan, 91 Padma Shri and 7 people have been awarded posthumously.

Bharat Ratna For Mulayam?  Late SP founder was posthumously conferred the Padma Vibhushan, the country's second highest civilian honour, on Wednesday. However, this did not please a section of Samajwadi Party leaders. 

Like every year, this year also the Padma Awards have been announced on the eve of Republic Day. Former Defense Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav will also be given the Padma Award.

6 celebrities were selected to be honored with the Padma Vibhushan Award. After which PN Haksar, who was the Principal Secretary of Indira Gandhi, has refused to accept this honour. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has raised questions by tweeting.

Late Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav will be honored with the Padma Vibhushan Award. 6 personalities from different Kshetras will be honored with Padma Vibhushan Award.

Instituted in 1954, these awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year The award seeks to recognize `work of distinction` and is given for distinguished and exceptional achievements/service It includes fields/disciplines, such as Art, Literature and Education, Sports, Medicine, Social Work, Science and Engineering, Public Affairs etc

Today, President Ram Nath Kovind has honoured all such people of the country with Padma awards, who have enhanced the country's honour in art, music and other fields. One of them was 126-year-old Swami Sivananda of Varanasi, who was honoured with the Padma Shri award today. When he walked barefoot on the splendid red carpet of President House, the whole country was proud. Before receiving the award, Swami Sivananda also paid obeisance to Prime Minister Modi. After which Prime Minister Modi also bowed his head in front of him and thanked him and accepted his greetings.

This year, no names were announced for 'Bharat Ratna' 'Padma Vibhushan' is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service 'Padma Shri' for distinguished service in any field This year a total of 128 Padma awards are being conferred The awardee list includes 10 persons from the category of Foreigners, NRI, PIO, OCI

Padma Awards, one of the highest civilian Awards of the country, are conferred in three categories, namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.

General Bipin Rawat, the first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) who died in an IAF helicopter crash in December last year, was posthumously awarded the Padma Vibhushan award on Monday.
