Masood Khan was nominated as Ambassador to the US in November.

The letter, sent on July 25, 2017, was issued in reference with Chaudhry's valedictory letter (FSO-1/2017 of March 12, 2017), as the foreign secretary and on the official letter head of Pakistan's High Commission in New Delhi.
Pakistan's former ambassador in the US was "lobbying against his own country" and "creating hurdles for the government", the country's top diplomat said today, apparently referring to Hussain Haqqani who was sacked by the government at the army's behest.
