Pakistani actors have been removed from Hindi film song posters and banned on Instagram in India following anti-India remarks and escalating cross-border tensions.

British police today said they would investigate a Pakistani-born actor's anti-India rant on social media as a possible hate crime even as the "Coronation Street" star apologised for the "unacceptable" language.
