Motorcycle sales last month, however, rose 9.36 percent to 10,49,659 units as against 9,59,860 units a year earlier.

According to the data, the sales of overall commercial vehicles surged by 39.73% to 85,660 units in January.

Total two-wheeler sales in November rose 23.49 percent to 15,35,277 units compared to 12,43,246 units in the year-ago month.
