Addressing the recruits, ADG BSF, wholeheartedly appreciated the excellent display of self-confidence, skill and coordination which was the high point of the parade. He applauded the recruits for choosing BSF as a career option and exhorted them to serve the nation with courage and enthusiasm.

In yet another departure from the norm, the cadets will not go home but instead report to their respective pre-commissioning training academies directly. While the Army cadets will report to the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, the air force and navy cadets will joining the Air Force Academy, Dundigal and Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala respectively.

States of Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Haryana got the highest number of cadets with 56, 19 and 39 respectively.
Among 1145 successful men, 39 are special commandos and policemen who have been specially trained to deal with the arson, rioting, and stone-pelting.
