At the protest, Ghaznavi said: "Uttar Pradesh`s Yogi Adityanath government is responsible for the murder of Atiq Ahmed, his brother, and son. They have used criminals to murder them in a planned way. The state government, UP police, media and court are involved in the conspiracy."
Bihar Police resorted to the lathi charge against Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) aspirants and arrested some of them. The students were demanding cancellation of the clerk grade written exam conducted by BSSC after it got leaked.
Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh said the police had to use batons and water cannons to disperse the protesters as they refused to call off the agitation and allow traffic movement, despite repeated requests.

The hand of a girl who had gone to get ear treatment at Mahavir Arogya Sansthan in Patna was chopped off. Not only this, the police also refused to register the FIR of the girl who was a victim of negligence.
In Bihar, the police and administration lathi-charged the students demanding jobs in the RJD-JDU government, which promised 20 lakh jobs. Patna's ADM K.K. Singh himself lashed out at the students.
