In what can be called as a huge embarassment to Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government, it has been confirmed that the 150gm of white substance recovered from the state assembly on July 12, was not highly explosive material  PETN (pentaerythritol tetranitrate) but silicon oxide (SiO2).

Days after powerful explosive recovered from Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth on Friday announced few enhanced security measures and urged legislators to follow them. While speaking in the Assembly, Adityanath said  NIA (National Investigation Agency) should be given charge of leading the investigation into the major security lapse.

In a major security lapse, 60 grams of suspicious white powder was found inside UP Assembly during ongoing session yesterday.  According to the reports, the white powder, PETN- a powerful explosive was kept under a seat of an MLA. Fortunately, the security personnel with the help of dog squad recovered it and avert the big mishap.
