During the meeting various measures were suggested to reduce and eliminate stubble burning, including viable alternatives to discourage stubble burning, imposing a ban and providing subsidies on bail machines.

Soon motorists will have to show 'pollution under control' certificates at petrol pumps to refuel their vehicles with the Delhi government Wednesday taking an in-principle decision to this effect primarily to check vehicular pollution in the city.
