Congress called the release of 15th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi a deliberate move to influence the voters in the upcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on 17th October released the 12th instalment of financial benefit of Rs 2,000 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN). However, as per a news report, nearly 21 lakh farmers in Uttar Pradesh who are ineligible for PM Kisan benefit, have got the money being transferred in their bank account.

Under the PM KISAN Scheme, an amount of Rs 6000 per year is released in three-monthly instalments of Rs 2000 each directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

Under the scheme, eligible farmer families are provided a benefit of Rs. 6000 per year in three equal instalments of Rs. 2000 each. So far, eligible farmer families have received benefits of more than Rs. 2 lakh crore under PM-KISAN.

Farmers must share their ration card information in order to be eligible for PM Kisan incentives in an effort to prevent further fraud. Any government programme has eligibility requirements that must be met before payments can be paid out. This year's PM Kisan eKYC completion date has been extended till July 31.

The 10th installment under PM Kisan yojana was transferred on January 1, 2022. Central government hasn’t made an official announcement regarding the release of the next installment. The government had released the installment last year on May 14, 2021.

PM Modi has released the 10th instalment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He said that there was a need for innovation in agriculture along with the promotion of natural farming. More than Rs 20,000 crore has been released by the Central government.

PM Modi will transfer Rs 20,000 crore directly to the bank accounts of more than 10 crore farmers. Modi will also release an equity grant of more than Rs 14 crore to about 351 Farmer Producer Organizations. The move will benefit more than 1.24 lakh farmers, PMO said in its statement.

The last date to register your name in PM Kisan yojana to receive the 10th instalment was October 10. However, farmers can still register themselves to receive the 10th instalment with the 11th instalment. Such farmers can receive Rs 4000 as the monetary benefit under the PM Kisan Yojana next year.
