Former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh also merged his newly formed Punjab Lok Congress with the BJP.

Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh is all set to join BJP today, and is most likely merge his party Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) with BJP itself.

“Punjab Lok Congress chief and former chief minister Amarinder Singh to join BJP next week,” PLC spokesperson was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

Amarinder Singh congratulated Sunil Jakhar for joining BJP. Amarinder Singh attacked Congress and said it was headed for an "imminent doom".
