Amit Dhankar conjured up a decisive win under pressure against Haryana Hammers' Praveen Rana to steer Punjab Royals to the semifinals of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) on Saturday.

It was Asian Games gold medallist Vinesh who clinched the tie for the Mumbai team by winning the sixth bout of the evening to give her team an unassailable 4-2 lead with one bout to go.

Punjab Captain and 2016 Olympics Gold medalist Vladimir Khinchegashvili avenged his group stage defeat to Sandeep Tomar by getting the better of the Indian 0-3 in men's 57kg and gave Punjab their first points of the evening.

Punjab Royals will take on Haryana Hammers in grand finale tomorrow.

It was the last tie in the league stage of this year`s PWL and Haryana -- the runners-up of last year`s inaugural edition -- ended up with 10 points having won all their five matches.

Monday`s contest, the last league match of this year`s Pro Wrestling League, won`t affect the teams much as both have already qualified for the semi-finals.

Haryana are now at the top of the PWL table with eight points having won all the four ties they have played so far.

Jaipur Ninjas and Mumbai Maharathi are at the joint second spot with four points each.
