During the last hour of the fifth day of the fourth Test, Ben Stokes proposed ending the match in a draw with a handshake. However, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, who were eyeing a three figure mark, declined Stokes' proposal and opted to continue batting, which left the England captain frustrated.    

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a disappointing IPL 2025 season, finishing at the bottom of the points table (10th place) with just four wins from 14 matches. Madurai Panthers team officially wrote to TNPL regarding Ashwin and his team Dindigul Dragons allegedly tampering the ball. Ashwin went wickeless in the game but scored a brilliant knock of 49 of 29 balls. The organisers have demanded Panthers for proofs.
