The announcement follows a series of Instagram videos posted by Himaanshika Singh, who claimed to have been friends with the 19-year-old tennis player for nearly a decade. 

On one hand, the victim, in her statement, claimed that the accused called her to the boys' hostel within the campus on Friday evening for counselling, and offered her pizza and cold drinks laced with sedatives. The victim claimed that after consuming the pizza, she fell unconscious.

Himaanshika shared two emotional videos on Instagram, one a tribute montage with photos and video clips of Radhika, and another in which she spoke about their long-standing friendship and the circumstances that, she claims, contributed to the killing.

Radhika Yadav’s uncle, Vijay Yadav, stated that Deepak Yadav confessed to killing his daughter and pleaded, “Bhai, maine kanya vadh kar diya hai. Mujhe maar do.” He did not provide a reason, only mentioning that he had lost his mind.

Gurugram Police probe has revealed that a family dispute over her tennis coaching career allegedly led to the tragedy. In the investigation, it was also found that Deepak Yadav shot at her five times with a licensed pistol. Earlier on Saturday, a Gurugram court sent Deepak Yadav to 14 days' judicial custody.

According to the police, Deepak (49) confessed to murdering his daughter (Radhika Yadav) during initial questioning, and the postmortem of the tennis player has also been completed. The Police are also investigating a music video in which she had played a part. 

The incident occurred at Radhika's family home in Sector 57. She was ranked 113th as a doubles player in the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The tension between Radhika and her father had been growing, especially over her decision to run a tennis academy.
