The Central Crime Branch police are also on the lookout for actor Vivek Oberoi's brother-in-law, Aditya Alva, who has been named in the case.

Meanwhile, raids were conducted on properties owned by Aditya Alva, brother-in-law of Bollywood star, Vivek Oberoi and son of the late former minister, Jeevraj Alva.

The police said they are conducting raids on resorts owned by Aditya, where he used to allegedly organise weekend parties. Many film stars of the Kannada film industry are said to have taken part in these parties.

The police said that Galrani and high-profile party planner Viren Khanna will be in police custody for further questioning.

The CCB raided her house in connection with the drugs conspiracy and was taken into custody for interrogation. 

After Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjana is the second actress in CCB net. 

Speaking to reporters here, he said the intention is to stop the menace that is causing harm to youngsters and students, and authorities will take all necessary steps for it.

The CCB wing of the Bengaluru police, which is probing the drug menace in the Kannada film industry, arrested film actress Ragini Dwivedi along with two more persons. "Ragini Dwivedi has been arrested and taken into custody," Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Patil said in a statement.

The sandalwood industry drug scandal came to the limelight after Kannada filmmaker and late journalist Gauri Lankesh's brother, Indrajit Lankesh made startling claims of knowing many secrets of the connection between drugs and Kannada film celebs. 

In the initial investigation, it was found that these accused supplied drugs to the high and mighty people in society including several prominent singers and celebrities of the Kannada film industry. Besides, they also provided the drugs to young college-going kids.
