Devendra Fadnavis accused Rahul Gandhi of looking for excuses to explain his party's defeat in the 2024 general elections, alleging that Gandhi "does not even understand what the revision is about." 

Mohan Yadav, who replaced Madhya Pradesh's longest- serving chief minister and the current Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan after the BJP won 163 out of 230 seats in 2023 Assembly polls, strongly criticised Rahul Gandhi, demanding the Congress leader issue an open "Public Apology". 

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday dismissed allegations of large-scale voter fraud levelled by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of attempting to sensationalise the matter by making baseless claims in the media.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Opposition parties are against the SIR because infiltrators are their vote bank.

He alleged that the results of one Lok Sabha seat in Karnataka were tampered with, calling it a criminal act against the people of the state. He urged the state government to investigate the matter and hold accountable the ECI officials who allegedly enrolled between 1,000 to 15,000 fake voters.

The plea was mentioned before Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai by senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, who confirmed that the matter has been listed for hearing on August 8 (Friday).

Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi’s remarks made at international forums, Union Minister Pralhad said, “You go abroad and speak against India's institutions. If election fraud is real, how did your party win in Jharkhand?"

Shortly after Rahul Gandhi's claim of poll irregularities, the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) responded with a strongly worded letter, asking him to sign an affidavit detailing his allegations about the addition and deletion of electors.
