The session comes after a month-long political crisis in the state which started with the rebellion by Sachin Pilot and 18 other Congress MLAs.

Amid ongoing political drama in Rajasthan, the state's Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday (July 15) issued notices to former deputy CM Sachin Pilot and 18 other Congress MLAs for not attending Congress Legislative Party meetings.

Rajasthan targets to set up 30,000 MW solar power plants by the year 2024-25 in the state, Energy Minister B D Kalla said on Tuesday. Replying to a question raised by BJP legislator Arjun Lal Jingar during Question Hour in the Rajasthan Assembly, Kalla said the government has issued a new Solar Energy Policy-2019 to promote solar production in the state. 

The resolution passed by the Rajasthan assembly urges Centre to repeal the law as it discriminates against people on religious grounds, which violates the provisions of Constitution. 

The move comes amidst the agitation by the Gujjar community.

The state Assembly also has 158 crorepati winners.
