The father and two brothers of Martina Gupta – the 28-year-old woman who died of gunshots wounds in Lucknow, have been arrested following a registered complaint by the victim's mother.

A Jammu traders organisation on Friday threatened an "identify and kill" campaign against Bangladeshi and Rohingya refugees living in the region unless the government deported them to Myanmar immediately.

 Hockey India President Narinder Batra on Saturday objected to the appointment of Indian Olympic Association Joint Secretary Rakesh Gupta as the Chef de Mission of the country's contingent for next year's Rio Olympic Games.

"Gupta will be paid remuneration of USD 250,000 per annum inclusive of Superannuation, with an initial three month probation period ... ," the filing said.
