One Nation, One Election: While 15 opposition parties have rejected the move, there are many opposition parties who have extended their support to the decision to hold simultaneous polls. 

 The high-level panel on 'One Nation, One Election' has recommended holding simultaneous elections for Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies.

Former President Ram Nath Kovind-led panel put forth a proposal for holding Lok Sabha and state assembly elections concurrently as an initial measure, to be succeeded by local body polls within a span of 100 days.

One Nation, One Election: The Union Law Ministry has named eight members to the committee, headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind.

The other members of thepanel on  One Nation, Elections include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Former Rajya Sabha LoP Ghulam Nabi Azad, and some others.

'One Nation, One Election' policy can be implemented in the country. Modi government is working on this. For this, the government has formed a committee under the leadership of former President Ramnath Kovind. Notification regarding the committee can be issued today i.e. on 1st September. Actually, the government has called a special session of Parliament from 18 to 22 September.

The government has decided to call a Special Session of Parliament from September 18-22 where it is speculated that the government could bring a bill for this proposal to take effect. 

One Nation One Election: The Central Government has constituted a committee on One Nation, One Election. Former President Ramnath Kovind will be the chairman of the committee. Asaduddin Owaisi is furious over the formation of One Nation, One Election committee. Owaisi called the government's decision unconstitutional.
