RBI's Financial Stability Report News

RBI Governor Urjit Patel on Thursday said the demonetisation exercise will have "far reaching changes" towards a transformative effect on the economy going forward, despite some short-term disruptions and "public hardship".

Despite global uncertainties, banking sector issues, the economy stands out in terms of growth as compared to other emerging markets and the Indian financial system remains stable, a report released by Reserve Bank today said.
