As per the classification done by the Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra, which is the worst-hit by the coronavirus COVID-19 cases, accounts for 14 Red zones, 16 Orange zones, and 6 Green zones.

As many as 19 districts in Uttar Pradesh and all eleven in Delhi have been put in the 'no activity' or red zone. Among all states, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra have the maximum number of red zones at 19 and 14 respectively, followed by Tamil Nadu at 12 and all of Delhi's 11 districts have been marked as 'no activity' zones.

After 77 employees of Delhi's Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital were found to be corona infected, the country's health minister has expressed concern over the conditions in Delhi, saying that the entire Delhi seems in the red zone.
