It may be recalled that Shivinder Mohan Singh and Malvinder Mohan Singh were booked by Economics Offence Wing of Delhi Police in March 2019 on charges of cheating, criminal conspiracy and breach of trust related to Religare Enterprises and its subsidiary Religare Finvest Limited (RFL).

 Shivinder also alleged that collective and ongoing actions of his elder brother and Godhwani led to a systemic undermining of the interests of companies and their shareholders.

As their financial services venture Religare Enterprises continues an asset sell-off exercise, promoter brothers Malvinder and Shivinder Mohan Singh have made a surprise return to the company's board after a gap of over six years.

Religare signed a joint venture in April in the Philippines to provide investment banking and equity capital markets services with FSG Capital. It is also exploring further growth initiatives in Bangladesh, Vietnam and Myanmar, it said.

Non-banking finance company Religare Finvest Ltd (RFL) Thursday said the company will raise Rs 1,425 crore through non-convertible debentures.
