MNS chief Raj Thackeray had given ultimatum to Maharashtra govt to remove loudspeakers from mosques by May 3. Ramdas Athawale targeted Raj Thackeray for his "hard stand" on the loudspeaker issue. Athawale asked Raj Thackeray not to create a rift in society.

Welcoming the actor into the party, Athawale said, "I thank her for joining the party and I welcome her." "Sir has always supported me and I am grateful and we women need such kind of support. Apart from movies, whenever I have free time I will work for RPI and for the country," Payal said.
