West Bengal: सीबीआई ने शुक्रवार को तृणमूल कांग्रेस के नेता और हलिसहर नगर पालिका के अध्यक्ष राजू साहनी को चिटफंड मामले में गिरफ्तार किया है। सूत्रों ने बताया कि केंद्रीय जांच एजेंसी ने साहनी के आवास पर छापेमारी के दौरान 80 लाख रुपए नकद बरामद किए।

In a statement issued last evening, Das, while denying media reports that he was interrogated twice last month by the CBI, said he was quizzed only once.

Rose Valley, whose operations were spread over several states, is being probed by the ED under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. 

A local court here on Saturday rejected the bail plea of TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay.
