A viral message about Rs 500 notes being phased out has caused panic among the public. However, authorities have stepped in to clear the air and urged people not to believe in such rumours.
A video posted on the YouTube channel ‘CAPITAL TV’ has created confusion by claiming that Rs 500 notes will be discontinued by March 2026.
