Russia has accused Ukraine of a failed attempt to 'assassinate' President Vladimir Putin in a drone attack on the Kremlin citadel, a charge that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has denied. 

Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang said Beijing must advance its relations with Russia as the world becomes "more turbulent".

A US official said that they had notified Russia about President Joe Biden's surprise visit to war-hit Ukraine.

Ukrainian authorities have dismissed dozens of officials in recent weeks and opened probes as part of a widespread drive against wrongdoing.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that at least four people were killed due to new Russian missile barrage, adding that most of some 70 missiles were shot down.
