The Lok Sabha on Friday granted ninth extension to the Joint Committee on the contentious Land Bill, extending the deadline for it to submit report till the last day of the first week of Winter Session.

 Two important bills that seek to replace ordinances to keep state boards out of the ambit of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for this academic year will be taken up in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs S.S. Ahluwalia said on Monday.

 The government will work towards farmers' welfare and make Indian agriculture globally competitive, new Minister of State for Agriculture, S S Ahluwalia on Wednesday said.
