The special court for Prevention of Money Laundering Act cases on Wednesday extended till Aril 13 the judicial custody of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Chhagan Bhujbal and his nephew and former MP Samir Bhujbal.
A special court here on Tuesday sent Nationalist Congress Party leader Samir Bhujbal to the custody of Enforcement Directorate till February 8.
Samir's arrest was preceded by multiple searches in Mumbai conducted by the ED in connection with its money laundering probe against Chhagan Bhujbal and others.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Tuesday accused the government of deliberately targeting its leaders and said power and government machinery were misused in the arrest of party leader Chhagan Bhujbal`s nephew.
Samir Bhujbal was arrested after over six hours of questioning under the provision of the PMLA at Enforcement Directorate's office in Ballard Tiar.
