As per a study conducted by the department of higher education, there is a fall in attendance of girls in the government colleges in rural areas of the state during particular dates.

Targeting women's health at its door step, the central government has installed four sanitary napkin vending machines in women's washrooms at Nirman Bhawan, which houses the health ministry.
