The objective is to decongest jails and reduce pendency of cases
They also suggested premature release for convicts who serves 14 years of custody in jail

Fifteen judges of the Madras High Court were on Wednesday sworn in with the Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul administering the oath of office to them.

The Madras High Court today upheld Tamil Nadu government's draft regulations for play schools with certain modifications such as extending the area covered by them upto 3km radius and directed that it be notified by December 15.
